Zorb® 4D Organic Cotton Dimple Waterproof PUL Soaker Fabric (Black) per Metre is a high quality Bamboo & Organic Cotton & Polyester & PUL fabric. It is perfectly made for a multitude of crafting ideas and ideal for any of your projects. You will not be disappointed having this in your haberdashery.

Are you making cloth sanitary products (CSP), nappy inserts, nursing pads or other absorbent product? Want to reduce your time producing? Zorb 4D is an all-in-one fabric with extreme absorbency and a waterproof layer. A complete all-in-one fabric.

This unique high-performance fabric is both super absorbent and waterproof/leakproof. It is engineered with four layers: a 100% soft cotton face, Zorb®, a polyurethane waterproof film and an anti-skid brushed tricot fabric for a non-skid surface.

 

General Information
  • 100% Free of PFAS & PFOA.
  • Zorb dimple on one side, and laminate a hidden waterproof layer of 2-mil polyurethane film between it and our thin, light ProCool interlock fabric.
  • Zorb three-dimensional engineered dimple pattern has great retention, superior hold, fast distribution of moisture and less leaking under compression. It absorbs 10 times its weight in under 2 seconds and soaks up 20 times faster than other materials (bamboo, cotton, hemp knits).
  • Super-wicking ProCool interlock polyester fabric is uniquely engineered from premium hydrophobic fibres for extra protection from leakage.
  • Perfect for mattress covers, bed protectors, diaper changing stations and pet bedding.
  • CPSIA certified, meeting stringent standards by the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission on lead and phthalates and flammability.
  • 100% eco-friendly, manufactured with no harmful chemicals or finishes in controlled conditions in American textile mills.
  • Unique process permanently melt-bonds our specially-treated TPU film to the fabric without toxic solvents. The process emits no toxic waste or VOCs that are harmful to the environment.
Care Instructions

No pre-wash, wash hot, dry medium and no fabric softener

Important note about Shrinkage
All natural fibre knits will shrink further. Percent shrinkage has been tested in a controlled lab. It may vary under different wash/dry conditions and from batch to batch.
It is recommended to test shrinkage on a small piece first and then pre-wash whole fabric at the setting that your finished stitched item will be washed.

Brilliant absorbency!

I purchased this particular Zorb fabric to make nighttime incontinence pads for my mother. I preshrunk it, cut to the bespoke size/shape I designed (it cuts beautifully), overlocked the edges and they were ready for use. The absorbency is brilliant and I love that we can wash and tumble dry them. It seemed an expensive investment, but with good pattern layout it’s worked out very economical and much cheaper than buy pads or incontinence underwear!

Happy with this Zorb-PUL Fabric

I bought this fabric to sew period panties with it, it made my work much easier and faster as it's a composit of waterfroof PUL and absorbent Zorb, so I had to cut and sew only once. The panties work really well.

Zorb 4D

Am using the fabric as an eco friendly alternative to liners. Super to have the waterproof layer built in. So much easier. I bound the edge as I find this is neater & longer lasting than overlocking. Sewing clips are great for holding the binding in place or paperclips & pattern weights rather than pinning your shapes .
