Zorb 1st Gen and White Food Safe PUL
Where are the Fabrics I need?
Zorb 1st Gen and the white food safe PUL are our two most popular fabrics and we have seen an increase in this over the year especially. We have continued to try and anticipate demand for these products and unfortunately, unlike huge companies, we don't have the buying power so have to make judgements. We do, however, get caught short on occasions and as it can take between 4-6 weeks to get our shipments delivered we have to try and plan ahead.
As you can imagine we sit down and plan for what seems to be selling and we put our orders in and then hope there are no issues etc and that the demand stays at what we expect. At this point "Sod's Law" usually rears it's head and we get a run on the fabrics and we sell out. This is what has happened again unfortunately and we know a lot of people do rely on us for their own businesses, especially as we always aim to be the best value for all of our products. By not charging excessively for our fabrics, small businesses making items like CSP and food wraps can buy with confidence and know that they can maximise their profits as well. As a family business we know how key it is to be able to support other small independent businesses.
We have had to put an "emergency" order in for the Zorb and we are hoping that will turn up the week commencing 30th September but nothing can be certain so we will update everyone as soon as we know. Fortunately we have friends in UK logistics so can usually jump past the usual waiting and get things pushed through quickly on arrival in the UK. We are doing all we can to minimise the impact of stock shortages.
So what about everything else?
Our main shipment is due to arrive in the UK on the 14th October, though it could be another 7-10 days before we receive it. We have a lot of our usual White Food Safe PUL arriving as well as the Zorb 1st Gen and some other fabrics including a new one we have not stocked before. As previously mentioned we are looking into other suppliers as well as completely new products however we need to verify quality before we agree to supply to our customers.
We are putting processes in place to hopefully bring an end to our of stock issues with our main fabrics, trust me it annoys us as well. It has been a very busy few months for us with moving into a new workshop/storage unit, reorganising the business etc but we are now in a stronger position to start providing all you fantastic makers, influencers, designers, creators and people wanting to make a change to how the world looks at disposable products.
Thank you for your understanding during this time and rest assured we are doing everything we can to ensure that we don't get caught short again and to always be here for all your fabric needs.
